About TB-500

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring protein involved in actin regulation. It is offered for laboratory studies of cell migration, angiogenesis and tissue remodelling in in-vitro and animal models.

Thymosin Beta-4 is one of the most abundant proteins in mammalian cells and acts primarily by sequestering G-actin, regulating how the cytoskeleton assembles and disassembles. TB-500 reproduces the short actin-binding region responsible for most of that activity, which makes it far more practical to synthesise, handle and dose accurately in a laboratory setting than the full 43-residue protein. At 10 mg the vial holds enough material for a replicated migration or tubule-formation series on a single lot, so batch-to-batch variance does not enter the result.

Reconstitution & handling

TB-500 is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder and dissolves readily in bacteriostatic or sterile water. At 10 mg, reconstituting into 2 mL is a common starting point because the resulting 5 mg/mL stock dilutes cleanly by factors of ten into the nanomolar-to-micromolar range most cell-migration work uses. Add diluent slowly against the vial wall and let the cake dissolve without agitation; do not vortex.

Storage & stability

TB-500 and the BPC-157 pairing

TB-500 is frequently studied alongside BPC-157, since the two act through different mechanisms — actin regulation versus the growth-factor and angiogenic pathways BPC-157 is associated with. Researchers running both usually want them as separate vials so each can be dosed independently and a vehicle-only arm included; the BPC-157 + TB-500 pairing supplies exactly that at 5 mg of each.

This standalone 10 mg vial is the right choice when TB-500 is the variable under study rather than one half of a combination — enough material for a replicated series, a concentration ladder, or both, all from one lot and one batch number.

Quality & testing

Every batch supplied by Vital Research Labs is analysed by an independent third-party laboratory. Purity is confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and identity by mass spectrometry (MS). This batch is verified at Third-party tested, and a CoA pending is available for the batch so researchers can verify exactly what they are working with.

Shipping within Australia

TB-500 is dispatched from within Australia to Australian research customers, packaged discreetly and appropriately for a lyophilised research compound. Orders are processed on receipt of payment via bank transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy TB-500 (10mg) in Australia?

Vital Research Labs supplies TB-500 (10mg) to Australian laboratories and researchers. Orders placed before the daily cut-off are dispatched the same business day, Monday to Friday, with tracked delivery Australia-wide including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

What stock concentrations can a 10mg TB-500 vial be reconstituted to?

Reconstituting 10mg in 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL; 2mL gives 5mg/mL; 4mL gives 2.5mg/mL; and 5mL gives 2mg/mL. These are in-vitro stock concentrations for laboratory dilution work only.

Is TB-500 the same as Thymosin Beta-4?

Not quite. Thymosin Beta-4 is the full 43-amino-acid protein. TB-500 is a shorter synthetic peptide corresponding to its actin-binding region, which is the fragment most of the published research activity is attributed to. The shorter sequence is more practical to synthesise and handle in a laboratory setting.

How should TB-500 be stored?

As a lyophilised powder, store at -20 degrees Celsius protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2-8 degrees Celsius and use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Is TB-500 (10mg) intended for human use?

No. TB-500 supplied by Vital Research Labs is strictly for laboratory research use only. It is not a therapeutic good, is not for human or veterinary consumption, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
